Molly Adele Hipp Burrow, age 80, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Burrow was born on June 25, 1936 in Raleigh, NC to Herman Rufus and Laura Harrell Hipp. She grew up in Warsaw, NC, was a graduate of Warsaw High School and attended Mt. Olive Junior College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was Past President and Treasurer of the United Methodist Women, High Point District. Mrs. Burrow was the Vice-President of Sir Pizza on Dixie Drive, a former officer with the Asheboro Police Department, was formerly employed with the Asheboro City Tax Office and was Financial Coordinator with Hospice of Randolph. In addition to her parents, Molly was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Beth Cook, and sisters, Iris Lee Burrow, Mary Beth Lail and Marcia Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Burrow; daughters, Elaine Kidd and Karen Purvis and husband Joey all of Asheboro; sons, Bill Anderson of Atlanta, GA and Greg Burrow and wife Carla of Asheboro; grandchildren, Travis Kidd and wife Leslie of Asheboro, Loren Purvis of New York, NY, Andrea Purvis, Becca Purvis, Lilly Burrow, Madison Burrow, and Scotty Burrow all of Asheboro; and great grandsons, Price and Mason Kidd both of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Lynda Ferguson and Dr. Donald Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
