Mitchell Davis Caudill

Mitchell Davis Caudill, age 88, of Asheboro died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home. Mr. Caudill was born in Montgomery County on January 15, 1926 to Robert and Annie Caudill. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving in Okinawa. He was the owner and operator of Caudill Linoleum and Tile Company. Mr. Caudill was very dedicated to his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Caudill was preceded in death by six siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Janice C. Wheeler of Asheboro; son, Lane Caudell of Asheboro; grandchildren, Traci McDaniel and husband John of Asheboro, Jerry Moore and wife Stephanie of Asheboro, Toran Caudell and wife Jaclyn Betham of CA; great grandchildren, Britney McDaniel, Caleb McDaniel, Nick Price, Kari Price all of Asheboro; sisters, Virginia Owen of Raleigh, Annie Mae Kern of Seagrove; brothers, Baines Caudill of Asheboro, Vance Caudill of Candor. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
