Miriam Wham Ridge

Miriam W. Ridge, age 93, of Asheboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Camden Place Health and Rehabilitation, Greensboro. She had resided at North Pointe of Asheboro since 2008. Mrs. Ridge grew up in the Farmer area and was a retiree of the Randolph County Agriculture Extension Service. She was a member of Dogwood Acres Presbyterian Church, an avid reader, and loved poetry. She is survived by daughter: Julia and husband Jerry Callicutt of Greensboro and son: Jack Ridge and wife Sharon of Greensboro. Grandchildren; John W. Callicutt, Anne Marie Dew, Donald R. Ridge, Richard Ridge, 8 Great Grandchildren, and 6 special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years Donald and brother Joseph Wham. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 12:30 - 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday following the visitation at 2:00 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Voorhees officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
