Miriam Rose Murphy

Miriam Rose DeCesare Murphy, age 70, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Murphy was born April 30, 1943 at Fort Benning, GA the daughter of Francis and Ruth DeCesare. Mrs. Murphy was long time resident of Asheboro and formerly employed as Director of the Head Start program in New Jersey. In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by two sons: Joseph and Alexander. She is survived by her loving husband: Douglas N. Murphy of the home and her children: Vincent, Annemarie, Sandra, Michael, Miriam and Colleen. All of whom will miss her dearly. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
