Minnie Lucille Brown

Lucille B. Brown, age 87, of Asheboro, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Mrs. Brown was born November 25, 1926 in Chatham County, NC, the daughter of Fletcher Lee and Nannie Coble Brown. She was a graduate of Bennett High School and was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Bennett. She was retired from Stone II and Taylor's in Asheboro. She is survived by her husband, Newton Harris Brown; Sons, Eddie L. Brown and his wife, Margaret of Asheboro and Dr. Dan H. Brown and his wife, Myra of Graham; Grandchildren, Dana Lynn Hill and her husband, Larry, Luke Brown and his wife, Elissa, Andy Brown, and Lee Brown; Great Grandchildren, Noah and Mason Brown, Ashley and Clay Hill; Sister, Peggy Hammer of Franklinville; and Brother, Garland Brown of Bennett, NC. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Bennett, NC with Dr. Dan Brown officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
