Mildred Alene Evans "Millie" Lamson, age 83, of 700 S. Holden Road, Greensboro, formerly of Randleman, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 22, 2013 at WhiteStone Retirement Center of Greensboro, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lamson was born September 15, 1929 the daughter of Clarence R. and Anne Limon Evans.
Millie was a native of Greensboro but spent many years living in various places across the United States. Millie enjoyed bowling and had several trophies to attest to her skill. She enjoyed traveling and saw many places throughout the world. She was retired from "The Four Winds Corner Mart" that she owned and operated for many years. Millie is preceded in death by her former husband: George Hoffman; sons: Zane and Don Hoffman and one grandson Daniel.
She is survived by: mother: Anne Limon Daino of Randleman, NC; brother: C. R. Evans of Randleman, NC; daughter and her husband, Laura and Richard Foreman of Camp Hill , PA; daughter and her husband, Melissa and John Parkovic of Harrisburg, PA; 9 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Randleman with Rev. Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will be in Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
