Michael Clay Tolbert

Michael Clay Tolbert, age 49, of Asheville, formerly of Asheboro died Monday, August 5, 2013 at Mission Hospital, Asheville. Michael was a native of Randolph County and a 1982 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School. An avid NC State fan, he was very athletic and enjoyed playing golf and softball. Michael loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Addie Moffitt and John and Josie Tolbert. He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Janice Tolbert of Asheboro; brother, Jason Tolbert and his wife Adrienne of Asheboro; aunts, Rose Auman and her husband Charles, Elda King and her husband Don, Wendy Green and her husband Leon all of Asheboro; several cousins. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Seagrove.
