Michael Shane Sparks

Michael Shane Sparks, age 41, of Seagrove died Friday, January 3, 2014 in a work related accident. Michael was born in Asheboro and was the owner of Sparky's Contracting, Inc. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Franklinville. Michael was a Godly man and read his Bible daily. He loved God and his family above everything else. Michael and Melissa are expecting a child in April of 2014 which will be named Miranda Shayne Sparks. He is survived by his better half: Melissa Lynn Jordan of the home, daughter: "Meci" Tapp, mother: Mickey Brown Adams of Franklinville, NC, father: Joe Sparks, Jr. and his wife Sue of Seagrove, NC, sisters: Mickey Jo Jennings of Asheboro, NC and Sherry Barnes of Asheboro, NC, step sister: Donna Garrett and husband, Sean of Asheboro, and step brothers: Billy Rollins of Franklinville and Bert McGee and his wife, Amanda of Randleman. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 219 Pleasant Ridge Rd., Franklinville with Rev. Ronnie Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
