Michael John Potts

Michael John Potts, age 37, of 4228 United St., Greensboro died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at God's Outreach Ministries, 1828 Rayburn Street, Asheboro with Rev. Tim Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Potts was a native of Sussex County, Delaware and attended Randleman High School where he received his certificate in 1991. He attended Bailey's Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the Gems and Jewels class. Michael was a wonderful person and brought a smile to everyone he met. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Cliff Griffin of Travelers Rest, SC; sister, Kelly Hicks and her husband Kevin Turner of Asheboro step mother, Bonnie Potts of Asheboro; step sister, Bonnie Watson of Asheboro; and step brothers, Johnny Barfield and Matt Barfield both of Asheboro and ; 8 nieces; 2 nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
