Michael Don Mabe

Michael Don Mabe, age 47, of 1210 Lindale Dr., Asheboro died suddenly on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Dover Baptist Church Cemetery, 2527 Dover Church Rd., Seagrove with Dr. Don Davis officiating. Mr. Mabe was a native of Montgomery County. Mike was a 1983 graduate of East Montgomery High School, attended NC State University, and was a graduate of High Point University and Sandhills College. He was employed as a Field Inspector with SEPI Engineering and was a member of Dover Baptist Church. Mike was a loving father, husband, and son. He was active at the YMCA in Asheboro and loved the NC State Wolfpack. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Mabe. Mike enjoyed people, never met a stranger, and was full of life. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Price Mabe; son, Nicholas Mabe of Pinehurst, NC; step daughter, Krista Kiefer of Asheboro, NC; step son, Matthew Kiefer of Asheboro, NC; mother, Judith Myrick Mabe of Seagrove; brother, Tim Mabe of Durham, NC; mother-in-law, Phyllis Price of Asheboro, NC; and best friend, David Peters of Star, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
