Michael Taft Dennis

Michael Taft Dennis, age 62, of 3644 River Rd., Troy died Monday, April 20, 2015 at his home. Michael was born April 29, 1952 in Montgomery County, NC, the son of Jones Taft and Nellie Merritt Dennis who precede him in death. He was a field superintendent for Roberts and Morris Construction. He is survived by his wife: Opal Thompson Dennis of the home; two daughters: Chanda Evette Latham of the home, Lisa Dennis Blake of Troy; one son: Brannon Trey Dennis of the home; 3 grandchildren; 3 sisters: Ruth Dennis of Troy, Carol Mullinix and Elizabeth Furr, both of Albemarle; and one brother: Larry Dennis of Troy. A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Richard Lynthacum and Rev. Jim Hunsucker officiating.
