Michael Wayne Carico

Michael Wayne "Mike" Carico, age 64, of Asheboro died Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11:00 am at Oakhurst Baptist Church, 2225 South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens. Mike grew up in Galax, VA and was a graduate of Virginia Tech University. He worked for 28 years at Galey and Lord, Asheboro, serving as Plant Manager and then at Energizer, for 10 years, as a Shift Supervisor. He was an active member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Burcham Carico and son, Brant Carico. He is survived by his wife, Libby Howard Snotherly Carico; sons, Sandon Carico, Brett Snotherly and his wife Addie of Asheboro, Howie Snotherly and his wife Jill of Seven Lakes; grandchildren, Cade, Brecken, Elizabeth, and Janet Snotherly, Simon and Morgan Carico; and parents, Warren and Jessie Carico of Galax, VA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the excellent care given to Mike at Randolph Hospice House.
