McKinnon Strickland

McKinnon Strickland, age 80, of Asheboro died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Randolph Hospital. Mr. Strickland was born December 22, 1934 in Laurinburg to Herbert and Caddie Strickland. He was a member of Liberty Road Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Dixie Furniture and in the construction industry. He is survived by his wife, Ann Pugh Strickland; sons, McKinnon Strickland, Jr. and wife Pam, Terry Strickland and wife Mary, Steve Strickland and wife Barbara all of Asheboro; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, John Strickland of Asheboro; sisters, Bernice Helvy of Belleview, FL, Allie B. Strickland of Laurinburg, Mabel Letchworth of Asheboro; extended family, James and Noelle Dunn, Henry and Dot Rives, Tim and Debbie Peele and the Liberty Road Baptist Church family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Road Baptist Church, 2179 WOW Rd., Randleman with Rev. Don Ashley and Rev. Buddy Maness officiating.
