Ollie May Pugh Purvis of Asheboro, North Carolina went to be with her Lord on December 30, 2015. She died of natural causes. May was born to Alfred and Ethel Pugh in Franklinville, North Carolina on March 21, 1924. Her husband of 56 years, James Purvis, her daughter Demetra Fay Callicutt, her brother Garvin Pugh, her sister Geneva Hall, and her twin sister Ola Fay Simeroth predeceased her. May was a member of Oakwood Park Baptist Church, an Eastern Star and the owner of Mae's Beauty Shop. She is survived by two grandchildren, Vickie Bunting and husband David of Asheboro, Perry Callicutt, Jr. and wife Vicky of Liberty; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In her later days she found great comfort in the love of her nieces Verna, Linda, Vivian and Barbara and her special friend, Bill Husband. May is now where she has wanted to be for quite a while; resting in the arms of her Savior. Family will receive visitors Saturday, January 2nd from 6 to 8pm at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro. A service will be held on Sunday, January 3rd at 2pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.
