Maxton Lloyd Morgan, age 70, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the High Point Hospice House.
Lloyd was born in the Tabernacle Township of Randolph County on May 25, 1945 to Cameron and Carol Morgan. "Lloyd" as he was known to his family and friends was a graduate of Farmer High School and Appalachian State University. He was a self-employed salesman who enjoyed meeting and working with people. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Debi Allred Morgan. Lloyd and Debi were very active at Faith & Victory Church in Greensboro where Lloyd was known to give out candy to the children before services.
In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Chris Morgan Armitage and her husband, Luke Armitage and their two children, Emerson and Cameron; his son, Ben C. Morgan and wife, Megan Vruwink Morgan and their two children, Luke and Forrest; his step-son, Darian Wampler and wife, Brittany Wampler; and his brother, Phillip Dale Morgan and wife, Angie Morgan. Lloyd was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Bullins Morgan.
During his life, Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He coached numerous athletic teams for his children and was an active Boy Scout Leader in Troop 500. Whether he was on a Boy Scout campout, coaching Volleyball, or meeting with a customer, you could always count on Lloyd to leave you smiling.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Asheboro Friends Meeting at 230 E. Kivett Street, Asheboro. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 to 11:45am at the Church with the service beginning at 12:00. The family would like to acknowledge and thank all of the care-givers, friends and family who have provided such loving care and support over the past several months.
