Maxine Allred Canipe, age 86, of Asheboro died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Canipe was born July 11, 1928 in Asheboro to Charlie and Lillie Allred. She was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Mills. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Canipe was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Sidney Canipe, grandson, Bradley Prevatte, sisters, Mary Lois Moore, Ruby Presnell, Etta Mae Moore and brother, Ervin Monroe Allred. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Prevatte of Asheboro; grandson, Doug Prevatte and his wife Misti Prevatte of Asheboro; great-grandson, Dylan Prevatte of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at her home. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bruce Dickerson and Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
