Maxine Brown

Maxine Cox Brown, age 86, of Asheboro died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Brown was born August 14, 1928 in Ramseur to Earl and Epsie Cox. She was a homemaker and a member of Browers Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James Reuben "Jimmy" Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Susan McLeod and husband Tommy of Asheboro; son, Steve Brown and wife Mary of Asheboro; grandchildren, Adam Kendall and wife Jamie, Philip Brown, Jason Brown and wife Jodi, Daniel Brown and wife English; great grandchildren, Caroline, Rachel, Nathan and Abigail Kendall; sisters, Virginia Richardson of Asheboro, Ann Horton of Asheboro; cousin, Edna Lineberry of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Browers Chapel United Methodist Church, 1030 Browers Chapel Road, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. David Spaulding officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
