Maxie Fleming Brownfield

Maxie Fleming Brownfield, age 87, of Sophia died Friday, November 28, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Brownfield was born March 30, 1927 the daughter of Alice Fleming. Mrs. Brownfield was a native of Randolph County and formerly worked with Klopman Mills for 15 years as a creel operator. She was a member of South Plainfield Friends Meeting and enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and puzzles. She is survived by one daughter: Patricia Burcham and her husband, John of Sophia; grandchildren: Darrell Dixon and his wife, Jody of Clemmons, Johnny Burcham of Sophia, Isola Gaither and her husband, Jerry of Asheboro, and Jill Burcham of High Point; 11 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:00PM at South Plainfield Friends Meeting, 4033 Plainfield Road, Sophia with Rev. Hugh C. Spaulding officiating.
