Max Eugene Suggs

Max Eugene Suggs, age 73, of 365 Suggs Road, Troy died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Max was born May 9, 1939 at Troy, NC, the son of Homer and Mildred Atkins Suggs. He was an active member of Love Joy United Methodist Church and a retired supervisor at Troy Lumber Company. Max enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Raeburn Suggs. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sarah Ann Wright Suggs of the home; one daughter: Bonnie Suggs Mabry and husband, Thom of Troy; one son: Franklin Suggs and wife, Nita of Randleman; two grandchildren: Tyler Mabry of Asheboro and Thierry Mabry of Troy. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Friday at 4:00 pm at Love Joy United Methodist Church, 1133 Substation Road, Troy with Rev. Tommy Haynes and Rev. Judy Drye officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
