Max Maynor

Max Maynor, age 80, of Mt. Gilead died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at his residence.Mr. Maynor was born April 18, 1929 in Norwood, NC, the son of Cleveland Franklin and Mary Frances (Morris) Maynor. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Troy Pentecostal Holiness Church and a retired machinist. He is survived by his wife: Grace McIntyre Maynor of the home; one daughter: Lucky Annette Bruton of Ether; one son: Leroy Max Maynor of Conway, SC; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2 PM at Troy Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bilhen St., Troy, NC. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at Troy Pentecostal Holiness with Rev. Neil Pressley and Richard Lynthacum officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Wadeville Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Gilead.
