Mavolene Lucas

Mavolene Underwood Lucas, age 82, of Asheboro died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Randolph Health. Mrs. Lucas was born November 5, 1934 in Randolph County to Henry and Daisy Underwood. She loved cooking and baking. This talent of hers was enjoyed by the many customers at The Wagon Wheel Restaurant that she owned. Mrs. Lucas also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog "Princess Molly". In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Calvin Eugene Lucas, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda L. Minton and husband Linden of Asheboro; sons, Ronnie L. Lucas and wife Nancy of Franklinville, Jimmy E. Lucas and wife Gail of Randleman; grandchildren, Michelle Adams, Misty Clodfelter and husband Jason, Aimee Minton, Brandon Lucas, Chris Lucas; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Frances Dixon. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
