Mattie Sechrist

Mattie Sumner Sechrist, age 78, of Sophia, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center, Archdale. Mrs. Sechrist was born February 18, 1935 the daughter of Shelby and Ethel Sumner. Mattie was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband: Ray Sechrist, of the home; son David Sechrist and his wife, Lisa of Sophia; grandchildren, Brittany Sechrist of Sophia and Candice Outlaw and her husband Chris of Thomasville; sisters: Nellie Sumner of Sophia, Lucy Clinard of Thomasville, Frances Brower of Trinity, Annie Taylor of High Point, Betty Jean Frazier of Level Cross, and Margaret Watson of High Point; brother: Donnie Sumner of Trinity. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Doug Byrd officiating. Memorials may be made to Guil-Rand Fire House, 10506 S.
