Mattie Wright Saunders, age 86, of 307 Freedom Dr., Asheboro died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garry L. Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Christian Church Cemetery.Mrs. Saunders was a native of Asheboro and attended Union Grove Christian Church. She was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary and Stedman Manufacturing. She is survived by her sons, Larry C. Saunders of Candor, NC, Roy Saunders of Asheboro, NC, Jerry Saunders of Florida; daughters, Linda S. Caudle of Asheboro, NC, Emma S. Dixon of Franklinville, NC, Dede S. Eaton of Asheboro, NC; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jonah Wright of Randleman, NC.The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
