Mattie Lee Staley Jackson, age 94, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Archdale.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Montgomery County on April 13, 1921 to Harvey and Emma Johnson Staley. She was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary Corporation and retired from the Elastic Therapy Outlet after 30 years of service. Mattie was a member of Dogwood Acres Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by husband, Jesse Woodrow Jackson, siblings, Nellie Gibson, Faye Maness, Coyle Staley, Margaret Staley Craver, T.B. Staley, Mary Boling, Jack Staley, and Bobby Staley.
She is survived by her daughter, Dyanne Jackson Boyles and husband Jerry of Archdale; grandchildren, Randy Boyles of Archdale, Beth Spencer and husband Chris of Trinity, Brian Boyles and wife Lisa of Archdale; great grandchildren, Brandon Boyles, Sydney Michael and husband Kevin, Kayla Lett, Ali Spencer, Avery Boyles, Hunter Boyles; and great great grandchild, Karter Finn Michael.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 12:30-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Porter officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
