Mary Beane Holden Williams, age 90, of Asheboro died Sunday, March 9, 2014 peacefully at her home.
Mrs. Williams was born December 9, 1923 the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Cora Newsome Beane.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Randolph County. She was saved in 1942 while listening to Rev. Harold Loman on the radio. She loved the Lord and was a charter member of the Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church since 1950, where she taught Sunday School and worked in the nursery. Mary graduated from Emanuel Academy in Franklin Springs, Georgia and Greensboro College. She worked at Southern Bell (Bell South) in Greensboro as an operator then as lineman dispatcher.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Williams; sister: Emma Beane King and nephew: Roy King both of Asheboro; several nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
Funeral services will follow in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Troy Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery, Randleman.
