Mary Louise Russell, age 64, of Troy died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe. Mary Lou was born March 1, 1948 at Troy, NC the daughter of Barna Harrison and Mary Strider Russell. She was formerly employed with Capel, Inc. and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers: Larry Russell and Charles Russell. She is survived by brother, Roger Russell and wife, Audrey of Greenville, SC, sister, Emily Howell and husband, Harold of Lumberton, sister, Martha Griego of Troy and brother, Frank Russell and wife, Debbie of Troy, sisters in-law, Betty Russell of Hampton, VA, and Tracy Russell of Morganton; 7 nieces, 7 nephews, 5 great nieces and 7 great nephews. Whether she was called Moo-Moo or Moosie, she was truly loved by us all. The family will receive friends Monday, December 31, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Love Joy United Methodist Church, Substation Road, Troy with Tony Sedberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Dept Of NC, PO Drawer 28146, Raleigh, NC 27611.
