Mary Virginia Morris

Mary Virginia Morris of Troy passed away quietly at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst on April 19, 2011, after a short illness. She was born on March 23, 1955, in Rockingham and was the daughter of the late F. Montgomery Morris, Jr. and Alma Ussery Morris. Mary was a member of the first graduating class of Richmond Senior High School and completed her Certified Nursing Assistant training at Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of the Family Worship Ministries Church in Troy. Mary is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Jan Monroe and husband Don of Asheboro, Nancy Williams and husband Roger of Greenville, WI, Fred Morris and wife Anne of Rockingham, and Joe Morris and wife Pam of Salisbury. Mary is also survived by three nieces and five nephews, and life-long friend Dr. Carlyle Haywood. Funeral services will be held at the Family Worship Ministries Church on Friday, April 22, 2011, at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the services. A private interment service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Family Worship Ministries, 401 Troy-Candor Road, Troy, NC 27371, or to the charity of your choice.
