Mary Louise McLeod Morgan, age 86, of 648 Morgan Country Rd., Asheboro died Friday, February 6, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Asheboro United Church of Christ with Rev. Eric L. Jennings and Rev. Tom Benedict officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.Born in Richmond County, Mrs. Morgan was the youngest child of William Martin and Beulah McLeod and graduated from Ellerbe High School in 1939. She was a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ where she was teacher of the Friendly Class and chairperson of the Missions Committee. Mrs. Morgan volunteered at Alpha House, Randolph Hospital, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and was a member of Church Women United in Randolph. She is survived by her husband, Street Morgan; sons, Dale Morgan and wife, Connie, Michael Morgan; daughter-in-law, Joanne Morgan; grandchildren, Mary Dale Morgan Worboys and husband, Ash, Kevin Morgan and wife, Shelley, Kenneth Morgan and wife Anita, Jenny Morgan, Jason Morgan; great grandchildren, Hampton Worboys, Easton and Kaden Morgan, Elizabeth and Ella Morgan; chosen granddaughters, Kathy Harrington Foreman, Debbie Harrington Aldridge; sister, Odelle McLeod Fowler; many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
