Mary Lowe McMasters, age 78, of Asheboro died Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Honeycutt and Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mrs. McMasters was born in Randolph County on June 19, 1936 to Duke Lowe and Bessie McPherson. She was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary Corporation. Mary was an accomplished seamstress and formerly sewed patches on the uniforms of the Asheboro Police Department, the Randolph County Sheriff Office, and the Randolph County Honor Guard. She also did alterations for Suit Outlet and for many people in the general public. Mary was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church for 30 years and then became a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Cicero McMasters.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Webb, Dr. Fox, and Dr. Dunham at the Carolina Kidney Center and the technicians and nurses at the Dialysis Center for the loving care given to Mary.
She is survived by one daughter, Robin Marsh of Asheboro; grandchildren, Nichole Balasco and husband Alex of Annapolis, MD; Brittany Maness and husband Michael of Seagrove, Jared Cranford of Wilmington; great grandchildren, Makayla Shipes, Maddix Maness, and Barron Balasco; goddaughter, Tanna Powers and husband Doyle of Bennett; brother, J.T. Lowe and wife Nina of Farmer; and many extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
