Mary Jackson Manning

Mary Jackson Manning, age 79, of Seagrove passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Manning was born in Asheboro on June 27, 1936 to William Taft and Edna Evelyn Underwood Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Independent Baptist Church in Seagrove. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Billy Joe, Judy, and Betty. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hoskins of Randleman, Angel Carol Von Hagel (John) of Mechanicville, VA, Sharon Moore (John) of Fayetteville, Tonya Newsom (Mark) of Biscoe, Michelle Renee Bowersox (Keith) of Rockwell; sons, Davey Swaney of Ramseur, Phillip Dean Swaney (Mary) of Ether, Stevie Swaney (Lisa) of Randleman, John Swaney (Cindy) of Carolina Beach, and Francis Manning, Jr. of Asheboro; 26 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Reeder of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Community Independent Baptist Church, 3228 Brower Mill Rd., Seagrove. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Community Independent Baptist Church with Pastor David Snider officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
