Mary Lou Trogdon Priest, age 80, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mary Lou worked at Klopman Mills and was co-owner of Priest Grading. Her most important vocation was being a mother to her 3 children. She served on the board of The Salvation Army, was a Girl Scout leader, and a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Weed'N Win Garden Club.
She was an active member of Central United Methodist Church and a member of the Christian Homemakers Class.
She is survived by her daughters, Natalie Bell and husband Ronny of Greensboro and Allison Caviness and husband Buddy of Union, SC; son, Archie Priest, Jr. and wife Kristy of Asheboro; 8 grandchildren, Stephen Bell, Benjamin Bell, Jonathan Bell, Hannah Caviness, Joshua Caviness and wife Ashley, Megan Priest, Meredith Priest, and Madison Priest; and sisters, Betty Lea Hinesley and husband LeRoy of Denton and Rachel Millikan and husband Dean of Asheboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Mattie Trogdon, husband, Archie "Mack" Priest, and daughters, Melanie and Melinda.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 1:00-2:30 pm in the Central United Methodist Church Sanctuary, 300 South Main St., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 3:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church with Dr. J.F. Howard officiating. Burial will be held in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
