Mary Lib Miller

Mary Elizabeth Stevens Miller, 92, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the home of her daughter. "Mary Lib" was born on August 24, 1919 in Baltimore, MD. She lived her young years in Mooresville, NC and was a graduate of QueensUniversity in Charlotte, NC. She moved to Asheboro, NC in 1940 where she was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Bryan Miller, her daughter, Caroline Miller Strong and parents George and Maggie Bennett Stevens. She is survived by her daughters Beth Miller Slate (Dennis) of Saint Augustine, FL and Mary Bryan Miller Russell of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also survived by her brother George Stevens of Mooresville, NC and six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 224 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203. Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro is assisting the family.
