Mary Lee Kivett Hicks

Mary Lee Kivett Hicks, age 91, of Ramseur died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Hicks was born May 29, 1923 in Randolph County to Carr and Flossie Kivett. She was a member of Parks Cross Roads Christian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Missionary Society. Mrs. Hicks was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary of Ramseur, a cashier at Food Line in Ramseur and retired from Hancock Hams. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Hicks, sister, Pauline Kivett Brown and brother, James C. Kivett. She is survived by her daughter, Darius Stutts and husband Wayne of Ramseur; grandchildren, Elisha Kivett and husband Neill, Ryan Stutts; great grandchild, Dallas Kivett all of Ramseur; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Kivett of Staley and Glenda Faye Miller of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at her daughter's home at 213 Holly Hill St., Ramseur. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, 2057 Parks Crossroads Rd., Ramseur with Rev. Randy Kelley and Rev. James Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
