Mary Elizabeth Laughlin

Mary Elizabeth "Mary Lib" Laughlin, age 96, of Asheboro went home to be with her Lord and family on her birthday Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.

Mary was a native of Randolph County and attended First Baptist Church in Randleman. She had been employed with A.J Synerson and Mr. Jeans. Mary was a hard worker that enjoyed quilting and gardening, especially growing tomatoes. She was a giving and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, George Laughlin, son, Reuben Hill, daughter, Jewel Hill Brown, grandson, Darrell Brown, brother, Edward Hughes and sister, Edna Marie Collins.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Tina Adcox and husband Clarence of Asheboro; grandsons, Dean Brown of Randleman, and Alan Brown of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Lane and Allie Brown; special niece, Frances Carrick of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 at Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mt. Shepherd Church Road, Asheboro with Rev. Earl Lilly officiating.
