After a brief illness, Mary Kathleen Langley, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014 while at Universal Health Care in Ramseur. She was born May 11, 1921 in Greensboro, NC and was the daughter of the late Myrtle A. Murray Fields and Henry L. Fields both of Chatham County, NC. Survivors include her children Louise Dunlap of Staley and Linda and husband Carson of Asheboro; grandson, John Dunlap of Staley; great-grandchildren, Morgan Dunlap and Brock Dunlap both of Randolph County. Kathleen was preceded in her home-going by her beloved first husband John Odell Allred, by her beloved second husband William Floyd Langley, and by her beloved granddaughter Laura Michelle Dunlap. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the administrative, medical and floor staff of both Randolph Hospital and Universal Health Care for the kind, compassionate and excellent care that Kathleen received. Words of thanks fail to convey their sincere gratitude. A service to celebrate Kathleen's life will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro, NC with Pastor Evon Pulliam officiating. The family will receive friends in the Chapel immediately following the service. Interment will follow in the Staley Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Christians United Outreach Center, PO Box 784, Asheboro, NC 27204.
