Mary Jane White Capps, age 82, of Asheboro died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Capps was born November 14, 1929 the daughter of Floyd and Lillie Eades White.
Mrs. Capps was a native of Surry County but lived most of her life in Randolph County. After retiring from textiles Mary Jane worked at Lowes Foods Deli in Randleman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Calvin Capps, son Roger Capps, daughter Lynn Glass and sister Mildred White.
She is survived by her son: Darrell Wayne Capps and his wife Faith of West Virginia; daughters: Cynthia C. Campbell and her husband Johnny, Beverly C. Allred and her husband Ray and Sharon C. Brown and her husband Orvel all of Asheboro; brother: Floyd J. White, Jr. and his wife Nancy of High Point; sisters: Peggy W. May and her husband Allen of Garner, Dixie W. Pugh and her husband Buck of High Point, Margaret W. Rising and her husband Richard of Winston-Salem, Brenda W. Parks and her husband Fred of Grand Junction, Col., and Pat W. Walton and her husband Leo of Salisbury; 16grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Darrell Saul and Rev. John Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery, Franklinville.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Moses Cone 4700 Unit and the Randolph Hospital ICU Unit caregivers for their caring and compassion during mom's illness.
