Mary Johnston Humble

Mary Johnston Humble, age 83, of 1335 Luck Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. Mrs. Humble was a native of Forsyth County, a 1945 graduate of Liberty High School and a 1946 graduate of Greensboro Women's college. She was formerly employed with General Electric and retired from Black and Decker. Mrs. Humble was a member of First E & R United Church of Christ where she taught the Mary Martha Bible Class. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Humble; daughters, Peggy Lineberry and her husband Joe of Ramseur, Kathryn Byrd and her husband Jimmy of Kernersville; brother, Jim Johnston and his wife Shelby of Asheboro; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at her home.
