Mary Joyce Harris

Mary Joyce Fox Harris, age 98, of Randleman died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Harris was born May 4, 1916 the daughter of James and Victoria Fox. Mary Joyce was a native of Chatham County and attended Silk Hope School. She was a hairdresser for many years and started her own Beauty Shop in 1951, retiring at age 92. In addition to her parents, Mary Joyce is preceded in death by her husbands, Wilton Harris and JB Harris; son, Jimmy Harris; and brother, James Robert Fox. She is survived by two sons: Wilton "Eddie" Harris of Randleman, and Bill Harris and his wife Lynn of Randleman; daughters, Frances Ferree and her husband Jack of Cedar Falls, Camellia Thomas and her husband Tony of Asheboro and Jo Ann Voss of Ormond Beach, FL.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 301 S. Main St., Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dana Bunn and Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at South Fork Friends Cemetery, Snow Camp.
