Mary Grant Foster, age 93, of Asheboro died Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Mary and her first husband, Edgar Wilson Grant moved to Asheboro after World War II to work in the McCrary Mills. A bookkeeper, Mary would eventually work for several firms in Asheboro before retiring from her husband's business, Grant and Ferree Heating and Air. She was preceded in death by husbands, Edgar Wilson Grant and Hobert Newton Foster, son Eddie Grant, and two great granddaughters Kenlee Wilson and Morgan Grant.
She is survived by one daughter: Rebecca Grant Slaughter of Asheboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Lou Ann Grant of Asheboro, NC; step-daughter, Gail Riggs and her husband Garley of Hendersonville, NC; granddaughter, Mary Wilson of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter, Susan Martin and her husband Robert of Frederick, MD; grandson, Eric Grant and his wife Heather of Asheboro, NC; great grandchildren, Jessica, Konnor, Kennedy and Kendall Wilson all of Raleigh, NC
