Mary Ella Geddie Johnson

Mary Ella Geddie Johnson, age 96, of 500 Mountain Top Dr., Asheboro died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Holder officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Cumberland County and moved to Asheboro in 1986. She was retired from Henebry's Jewelry and a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Joel Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Boyd and her husband Chester of Asheboro; Joel Johnson and his wife Frances of Pinehurst; ; grandchildren, Cynthia Sizemore, Chester Richard Boyd, III, Julie Bradbury, Joy Johnson, Joella Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to The Children's Room at Randolph Public Library, 201 Worth Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home for their loving care.
