Mary Charles Armstrong

Mary B. Armstrong, age 87, of 938 Sequoia Ave., Asheboro died Monday, December 7, 2009 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.Mrs. Armstrong was a native of Richmond County and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Rubert Earl Armstrong. She is survived by her daughters, Gale Armstrong of Asheboro, NC, Wanda Sullivan of Asheboro, NC, Dedie Chapman and her husband Charlie of Asheboro, NC, Karen Crawford and her husband Riley of Stafford, VA; half brother, Bobby Brooks of Mooresville, NC; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Centennial, CO 80112.
