Marvin Stutts, Jr.

Marvin Stutts, Jr., age 76, of 1768 Pekin Road, Candor, NC, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC. Mr. Stutts was born September 19, 1933 in Montgomery County, NC, the son of Arthur Marvin and Ella (Dunn) Stutts. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a former supervisor in the furniture industry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marceline Batten Stutts. He is survived by one daughter: Pam S. Parsons (James Campbell) of Candor; one son: Phil Stutts and wife, Karen of Asheboro; two sisters: Dorothy Stutts and Annie Lou Mauldin, both of Candor; grandchildren: Jennifer Stutts, Jessica Stutts, Angela Sedberry, all of Troy and Jonathan Parsons of Wilmington; 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 412 Bell Street, Troy with Dr. Lee Church and Rev. Russ Brown officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy.
