Martha Kinney Harvell

Martha Kinney Harvell, age 89, of Franklinville passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Harvell was born in Franklinville on October 4, 1933 to William Lacy and Maude Allred Kinney. Martha was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Harvell, son, Randy Harvell, brothers, Harvey, Charles, Odell, Joe, Fred, and Norman Kinney, and sisters, Louise Kinney, Betsy Johnson, Irene Saunders, Clara Dee Bell, and Fleta Wright. Martha was a hard-working lady who loved children, cooking, and taking care of others.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Dale Harvell and wife Linda Hogan Harvell of Cedar Falls; daughter, Robin Saunders of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Kelly Harvell and wife Elizabeth, Wendy Owen and husband Jay, Amy Thayer and husband Josh, and Chip Saunders and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Tyler Harvell, Cierra Chavis, Christin Kinney, Nicholas McMasters, Cody Harvell, Aiden Thayer, Noah Thayer, and Jackson Saunders; great great grandchildren, Alder Chavis and McKagan Chavis; brother, Herbert Kinney of Hendersonville; and sisters, Donna Vee Jenkins of Hendersonville and Mary K. Stout of Siler City.

Mrs. Harvell's body will lie in repose on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 1:00-5:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at Clearview Baptist Church, 2721 Cedar Falls Road in Franklinville with Dr. Bruce Dickerson, Rev. Tim Strider, and Pastor Aubrey Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
