Marsha Elaine Williamson

Marsha Elaine Voss Williamson, age 61, of Asheboro passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Williamson was born October 25, 1955 in Canada to Marshall and Helen Voss. She attended Browers Chapel Memorial Wesleyan Church and was retired from Energizer Battery after 37 years of service. After her retirement, Mrs. Williamson loved spending time at home working word find puzzles. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and working in her flowers. She especially loved doing anything that involved her grandson Kyle and spending time with him. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Jack "Shad" Williamson. She is survived by her daughters, Jana Richardson and husband Kyle of Ramseur, Laranda Trogdon and husband Samuel of Asheboro; grandson, Kyle Richardson; sister, Carole Shaw of Asheboro; niece, Meredith Shaw of Asheboro; her constant canine companion Molly; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful and caring friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Bryant Madsen and Carole Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service and beginning at 5:30 pm at Spoons Chapel Christian Church, 1838 Spoons Chapel Rd., Asheboro. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009. .
