Mark Ronald Sweitzer

Mark R. Sweitzer, age 49, of 2061 Pekin Road, Candor died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his home. Mr. Sweitzer was born March 31, 1960 in Reading, PA ,the son of Paul R. and Jean (Newman) Sweitzer Hopper. He attended Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church of Mt. Pleasant and was a commercial milkman for Pet Dairy Products. He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Lewis Sweitzer of the home; one daughter: Erica Torres of Reading, PA; father, Paul R. Sweitzer and stepmother, Christine of Womelsdorf, PA; mother, Jean Newman Hopper and stepfather, Gary of Denver, NC; two sisters: Kathy Sweitzer of CA and Jennifer Sweitzer of Statesville; four brothers: Gerald Sweitzer of PA, Jonathan Sweitzer of Denver, NC, Peter Sweitzer of FL, Jamie Sweitzer of FL; two step-daughters: Jennifer Keith of Hendersonville, NC, Christina Keith of MS; step-sister, Tammy Long of Statesville, NC; stepbrothers: Gary Hopper, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, James Calvin Hopper of NC. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church, Mt.. Pleasant, NC with Rev. Linda Voelker officiating. Immediately following the service the family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. at the residence, 2061 Pekin Road, Candor. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral home.
