ASHEBORO--Marion Ruling Miller, age 89, of 400 Vision Dr., Asheboro died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Wellsbridge, NY.
Mrs. Miller was born in Masonville, NY on November 22, 1922 to George and Mary Merwin Ruling. She was retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Sidney Hospital in Sidney, NY. After retirement, they traveled the country visiting family and friends. She enjoyed Blue Grass Music, dancing at the Country Tavern, camping and tending to her flower gardens. She also was a great fan of the Atlanta Braves and loved watching them play. Marion was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 66 years; Francis Charles Miller, an infant son, 4 brothers and 8 sisters. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gilbertsville, New York.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Alexander and her husband Danny of Ramseur, NC, Sheran Sweet and her husband Steve of Denton, NC, and Patricia Kay Jones and her companion Harry Pownall of Pinehurst, NC; son, Ronnie Miller and his wife Janice of Wellsbridge, NY; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
