Marion Filippo, age 93, of Randleman died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Wesley Long Community Hospital, Greensboro.
Mrs. Filippo was born October 19, 1920 the daughter of Benedetto and Frances Stallone Cassara.
Mrs. Filippo was a native of New Rochelle, NY and a homemaker. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, who all say she was "the best cook in the world". She was an affectionate, generous person, who was loved by everyone and enjoyed reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Michael Filippo, son: Frank Filippo and a granddaughter: Jennifer Filippo.
She is survived by her son: Michael Filippo, daughter: Kathy Filippo Thompson; grandchildren: Amy Faircloth, Billy Filippo, Tristen Filippo, Michael Thompson, Nicole Filippo; great grandchildren: Tori Faircloth, Nick Faircloth, Ethan Bachman, Landon Anderson and Jacob Filippo.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at 6:30 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1110 Highway 62 West, High Point . The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
