Marie Lamb Pugh

Alice Marie "Granny" Lamb Pugh, age 86, of Randleman died Monday, April 9, 2012 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Pugh was born June 1, 1925 the daughter of George and Mattie Lamb. Marie was a native of Randolph County and retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill in Randleman. Marie formerly attended Midway Wesleyan Church. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Lessie Garner, Eva "Bill" Cooper, Maxine McPherson, Irene Corum and Jean Williams. She is survived by her longtime companion, Allen Brown of Randleman; daughter: Faye Williams and her husband John of Randleman; sons: Pete Darrity and his wife Sheila of Randleman and Jimmy "Hot Rod" Darrity of Randleman; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister: Mattie Lou Lamb Shuskey of High Point. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman with Rev. J. Arnold Luther officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
