Marie Mullinix

Marie Mullinix, age 90, of 1332 Eldorado Street, Troy died Friday, December 18, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Mullinix was born September 10, 1919 the daughter of Zebulon Engram and Annie Causey Clayton. Marie was a native of Greensboro, NC, attended Troy High School and had operated, with her husband, Mullinix General Store for many years. She was an Avon Sales Representative as well. She was a member of Uwharrie United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband: Robert Mullinix; one son: Bob Mullinix of Lenoir, NC; three sisters: Ruby Myrick of West End, NC, Sadie Clayton of Troy, NC, and Jeanette Poole of Troy, NC. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Uwharrie United Methodist Church, Hwy. 109 N., Troy, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Jack Luther officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Uwharrie United Methodist Church, Hwy. 109 N., Troy, NC 27371
