Marie Hicks Dockham

Marie Hicks Dockham, age 95, of 9285 Medical Plaze Drive, Charleston died Friday, February 17, 2012 at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Charleston. A native of Denton, NC, daughter of Cyrus and Eula Snider, Marie was previously a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Asheboro. A homemaker, she was known for her garden, and as a loving mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by a son Jeffrey Hicks, infant sons Phil, Harry, and Zeb, sister Alice Nash, and brothers Joel and Walter Snider. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Krista and Jim Burns of Charleston, SC; a son and his wife, Michael A. and Suzanne Hicks of Bear Creek, NC, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one sister, Hester Kearns of High Point, NC, and several nieces and nephews. The graveside funeral will be Monday, February 20th, 1:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Don Eisinger officiating.
